Participation Leads Forum

After consultation through our weekly RI meetings, we agreed to set up a specific group for participation leads, building on the great feedback we received for our managers’ forum meetings.

Outstanding homes place young people at the centre of all they do. Following consultation with Registered Managers and Responsible Individuals we are developing a community of practice for those holding lead responsibility for young people’s participation within residential care.

We have put in place a low cost membership approach with regular meetings, CPD, joint project work and shared peer support to ensure young people in your home feel supported, heard and central to their development and that of the home.

Membership is open to anyone working in residential children’s care – it need not be a manager but someone taking a lead responsibility for participation work.

Participants pay £99 + VAT per annum to attend up to three forums a year. See below for details.

Try first event free…

You’ll find the programme and support from other colleagues invaluable, but if you’re not sure add the code TRYFORFREE to the invoicing details and we will defer your first invoice a month. Simply let us know you’d not like to continue and we’ll cancel the invoice altogether.

Annual membership is then just £99 a year to attend all the sessions, with discounts for existing dialogue memberships and if your home joins one of our other communities of interest.

If you’d like to join, click the button below and select Participation Leads Forum from the communities of interest.

forum information and booking:

Membership is open to anyone working in residential children’s care – it need not be a manager but someone taking a lead responsibility for participation work.  This is a great opportunity to share ideas, seek support and improve practice.

Nominated staff can join the group for £99+vat per annum, which will entitle them to attend the 3 group meetings and work together on issues of common concern. Typically the sessions will include specific CPD input on an area of research, practice, guidance or issue of contemporary concern (another name for COVID implications!). Sometimes we will invite guests from commissioning, the regulator, or speakers.

dialogue will be responsible for invoicing. If you register we will securely store the information you give us. We will use this to keep you updated in line with your preferences. You can end your membership at any stage by contacting us and we will remove all your data. We will confirm all this by email.
