In June we agreed dialogue would contact each provider and ask about training you provide to see explore what 'core content' for children's homes looks like, together with other training that is taking place. We've put together a survey and ask for one person in each organisation to complete this. It will take between 30 and 60 minutes if you have the information to hand. It isn't very usable on mobile phones, but should be fine on tablets, PCs and Macs.
The survey is organised into a number of areas and to save you time we've pre-populated common courses you might be offering. This does not compromise advice or a suggestion - simply some ideas that we have gathered from other organisations. Each home should have a workforce development strategy which sets out your learning requirements against your particular cohort of young people and staff team.
On each page you can add comments if your approach does not fit in the boxes. You can also click 'Save & Continue Later' to receive a link so you can complete at another point. The link is only valid 30 days.
Confidentiality: Any information gathered is between your organisation and dialogue. We will share aggregated information with the forum, but not specific information about any provider. We will also only contact you about this information if you request it.
If you've any questions, or you want advice on a particular area, do get in touch.
Thank you in advance for your time
We ask a few questions about your organisation so that we compare similar organisations. We ask about the number of staff and the rate of staff turnover (the proportion of staff that leave and need to be replaced in a typical year) to calculate the number of course places you should be accounting for - this is one of the requirements of a Workforce Development Plan).
Please read the following courses. If you do not offer a course in your organisation change this on the 'Required' drop down. Amend each and add any others you do provide in the blank columns. If something just doesn't fit the columns explain in the comments section at the bottom of each page
