Chris has a background as a head teacher, Ofsted inspector, head of faculty at an FE college and currently runs our leadership programmes. She’ll explore recent updates affecting the sector and share relevant advice and publications.
11:00 – Coffee Break
11:15 – SEND, Gender and other key topics – how we integrate our care with schools – Chris Freestone
This session will explore how to promote young people’s individual needs, to ensure consistency between their home life and educational settings.
12:30 – Lunch Break
13:30 – New “Use of reasonable force” guidance & seclusion in education – understanding the implications for residential care – Chris Freestone and John Woodhouse

15:15 – Small group work and large group discussions on RM themes
