leadership & residential care

Alongside our training we’ve provided a highly valued support group from Responsible Individuals and Registered Managers. Leadership is not always about being at the front… a strong model of systemic leadership in residential care builds leadership and resilience in staff teams so they in turn look to encourage confidence, independence and resilience in young people. In line with guidance from the National Institute for Clincial Excellence and alongside the homes we currently work with we are building communities of practice – named individuals in homes who take a lead on specific areas.

dialogue will support the development of these roles through national focus groups, beginning with children’s participation leads in residential care across the country. Leads will have the opportunity of:

  • a regular 2-3 hour online forum every 2-3 months (the groups decide their frequency themselves)
  • CPD, project/group work on shared goals and an opportunity to share ideas, problems and successes with other leads
  • speakers on relevant topics
  • facilitation by a highly experienced leader from dialogue
  • ad hoc initial advice and support to members in between sessions
  • relevant research and publications as they become available so your staff are always up to date.

costs

The groups are run on an annual membership fee of £99+vat for each community of interest. We are keen to make the model accessible and supportive to residential homes, so additional memberships will access a £20 discount, meaning subsequent members from your home to the same group or to a different group will cost £79+vat each.

membership for homes

As we’ve grown these communities, we are now able to offer homes one representative at each of the seven communities of interest memberships for just £399+vat for annual membership.

If you are a multi home organisation and would like to sign up several homes for this offer – please contact us to discuss the possibilities of further discounts directly on 01803 493030.

I have been involved with safeguarding both children and adults over many years as a manager, Inspector, Consultant, Director and RI. I was very impressed and feel more confident in my future role.
