Trauma and Attachment 

This full-day training course aims to equip staff working in children’s homes and supported accommodation with a comprehensive understanding of Attachment Theory, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Behaviours such as Communication, Relationship Building, and Trauma-Informed Practices. Participants will gain practical strategies and tools to create a nurturing and supportive environment for children who have experienced trauma.

This training course is designed to be interactive, combining theoretical knowledge with practical applications to ensure that participants leave with a deeper understanding of attachment and trauma-informed practices that can be directly applied in their work within children’s homes and supported accommodation.

the trainer

Paul Grixti has a BSc (Hons), Dip Couns (Humanistic Counselling), MBACP (Acced. & Reg’d) EMDR Europe (Adult Accred./Child & Adolescent Accred.) including R-TEP (recent traumatic episode protocol) and G-TEP (group traumatic episode protocol), Brainspotting (Level II), Doctorate in Psychotherapy candidate (4th Year deferred). Paul has added various trauma therapy or training services to schools, universities, young people’s counseling charities, emergency services, hospices, local authorities, and several private children’s home companies over the last 15 years.
